About Color Vision Deficiency

About 8% of men and 0.5% of women have some form of color vision deficiency. Protanopia (no red cones) and Deuteranopia (no green cones) are the most common types, collectively called red-green color blindness. Tritanopia (no blue cones) is rare. Designers should ensure sufficient contrast and avoid relying solely on color to convey information.
