Cron is a time-based job scheduler in Unix systems. Cron expressions use 5 fields: minute (0-59), hour (0-23), day of month (1-31), month (1-12), day of week (0-6, Sun=0). Special characters include * (any), */n (every n), and ranges (1-5).
